I’m baaaaaaack! It’s been a few minutes since last I blogged, no??? The truth is, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, rather I’ve been spending the last few months working on and learning to improve my photography. I’ve started doing more and more lifestyle photography to add to my resume. Truthfully, I love it. As in, I loooooove it. That’s why, when JORD Watches contacted me about working together, my first instinct was to say, “Thanks, but I have to pass…”. I’ve never been a fashion blog and I certainly didn’t have much interest in starting one, so I just didn’t think the fit was right for me.
Until I read up a little more about their product and their company.
Then, I became intrigued. Watches made from wood? Wood from sustainable sources? Sustainable is one of my trigger words…if ever you want to work with me, start throwing around words like sustainable. But, the real kicker, the one thing that got me to say I’d sign on and give it a go, was that these watches are made by a company in St. Louis. Yay for local businesses!
So, I wrote them back and said that I’d definitely be interested in working together. They sent me the Delmar (If you’re from St. Louis, you’ll definitely recognize that name!) watch and I was totally surprised when I received it. It was much larger than I’d expected, (Which for me is a bonus…truth be told, the watch I wear every day is actually my husband’s.) but was extremely light. As in, you couldn’t even feel that you were wearing it. I like a lot of wiggle room in my watches, so I ordered mine a bit larger than most people would probably like, but for me, it was a perfect fit.
The quality of these watches is really good, and their packaging…out of this world, but I’ll let you wait to see that for yourself when you order your very own….
