Remember the other day when I made this brownie batter bark? The one my poor child asked for over and over again until finally, I made it? Yep, that’s the one. Well, after making that, I still had about 95% of a brownie mix left just sitting in my pantry. So, I know I needed to do something with it, rather than just sit there waiting to finally crack and start making coffee mug brownies. So, I decided to go ahead with an idea that I had while making the brownie batter bark…brownie batter hot fudge sauce. Put it on your ice cream, dip your apple slices in it, eat it directly off the spoon…the choice is yours, just make it!
The recipe is very similar to a recipe I created last year using International Delight coffee creamer, (the original recipe came from my friend, Sandy…I just made a few tweaks to suit my preferences!)
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup coffee creamer (or heavy whipping cream)
- 1/2 cup dry brownie mix
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine creamer, brown sugar, brownie mix, and corn syrup.
- Bring to a boil and allow to boil for 30 seconds.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and add the chocolate chips and butter.
- Stir until smooth.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes so it doesn’t melt your ice cream right away and serve.
- Refrigerate any unused hot fudge and microwave slowly to reheat.
- Enjoy!
