Last week, I decided to try my hand at a chocolate flourless cake. I’d never made one before, despite seeing them all over the internet and Pinterest.
The result?? My uber picky son requested a second cake on Sunday to take to school this week in his lunchbox.
So, what’s a mother to do? She bakes a second flourless chocolate cake for my baby.
And he’s been very, very happy.
It’s chocolate-y and tastes like a brownie, but thanks to the egg whites that you beat to stiff peaks, it’s light and sponge-y, too. (Clearly, I’m using lots of technical culinary terms…)
I used this basic recipe from Martha Stewart. I was quick and simple and one that I’ll be sure to make over and over again.
