Today’s 25 Days of RAOKs isn’t technically a RAOK, because it’s something that we should be doing anyway, but since I know we all don’t, let’s count it for today, shall we?
Day Nine is being a more patient driver. Trust me when I say this, friends, I NEED this one.
I’m such an impatient driver. While I don’t get road rage, I’m definitely known for throwing out the occasional comment when someone’s not driving exactly the way I want them to. And I know, it’s totally wrong. So, I’m working on it, and hopefully today’s RAOK will help me improve.
So, while you’re out and about one day soon, try letting people in front of you when they’re waiting to merge into a line. Try letting another car go first, even if you beat them to a stop sign. So many of us (myself included) are all offensively driving all the time, it’s nice to just slow it down a bit. People may not always remember when you do something nice for them, but they’ll certainly remember it when you do something nasty. (That’s right, lady in the Target parking lot who was in such a hurry to back out, she didn’t look and almost crushed my daughter and me…I remember you.)
