I’m embracing my geeky side today and sharing a quick little drink that Harry Potter fans around the world can whip up in no time at all. This weekend, my daughter asked if we could make butterbeer and of course, I was game. I decided to make mine a Butterbeer Italian Soda, since I’ve been hooked on italian sodas since my high school days. Hanging out at the mall and popping into Gloria Jeans for a cherry italian soda was my idea of a perfect day back then.
This drink is so simple and delicious. Sweet and butterscotch-y, and by adding a little bit of heavy whipping cream, it becomes a richer drink. Give this a try, Muggles…it’s a tasty treat.
Ingredients
- cream soda
- caramel ice cream syrup
- heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Drizzle a couple of teaspoons of caramel ice cream syrup in the bottom of a tall glass.
- Add cream soda, stirring to combine.
- Add a few splashes of heavy whipping cream and stir gently.
- Add ice and top with whipped cream and caramel drizzle for an extra treat!
